Rail Training Centre

Following the success of delivering a fast track project for National Rail Paddock Wood, Railway infrastructure specialists NCCT appointed AWS to supply and install a fixed partition wall with bespoke acoustic panels to create a training suite within the National Rail Training Centre in Romford, Essex.

Architects James Carney provided the specification, the partition wall was installed, stopping short of the ceiling to allow air circulation.

To maintain stability we supplied and installed steel columns at regular intervals that were bolted to the structural floor below the raised access floor tiles. The partition was constructed with timber framing, faced both sides with birch plywood and insulated with Rockwall insulation. The architect specified a 12mm Acoustic fabric finish faced with bespoke perforated sound absorption panelling from our collection of absorption panels that are impact resistant, pinnable, fire resistant and available in 17 colours.
