Whittlesey Baptist Church
Peterborough based PGR Construction appointed AM Walls to supply and install a floor supported acoustic folding partition. This was to become an integral element of the refurbishment of Whittlesey Baptist Church.
The client required the ability to make a greater use of their meeting hall that provides a welcoming venue for the local community.
Hosting village meetings, various activities as well as a Sunday school. The introduction of the folding wall now enables the Church to hold simultaneous meetings whilst retaining the option to maximise the hall for larger events.
Due to the limited head fixing within the hall, our floor supported type ASF100 sliding folding wall system was an ideal solution.
PGR provided a square dry-lined opening ready to install within. Our aluminium floor rail was securely fitted dead level throughout the opening width, new carpet was laid either side of the rail neatly tucking in under the floor rail flanges, eliminating any form of a trip hazard.
The client selected a hard wearing easily maintained MFC finish from our standard collection.
The system is comprised of sliding panels, with the leading panel out of the stack designed to act as a full height pass door for ease of access to either side of the folding partition.
From placing the order, carrying out a site survey, preparing detailed drawings, colour samples through to installation and hand over, the project took 6 weeks from start to finish.
